DESCRIPTION:In a hectic world\, it is important to take some time for self-care. To help ease into all that 2024 holds for us\, Sandy Morrell E-RYT 200 YACEP brings 17 years of experience to this 2.5 hour event. Students will be introduced to a wealth of daily-use tools to cope with everything life presents. Class will begin with a series of gentle poses designed to align the chakras. Followed by an ease into Yoga Nidra. This time of rest is so profound that half an hour of it equals 2 hours of solid sleep. Finally\, we will round out the practice with several breathing exercises. This retreat is suitable for every fitness level and the practice can be on the ground or in a chair. SUMMARY:Youth Mental Health First Aid
DESCRIPTION:YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (YMHFA) is an 8 hour program designed to teach adults how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions related challenge or crisis.  The course introduces common mental health challenges for youth\, reviews typical adolescent development\, and teaches a 5-step action plan for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Topics include anxiety\, depression\, substance use\, disorders in which psychosis may occur\, disruptive behavior disorders (including AD/HD) and eating disorders.
