DESCRIPTION:What role does the faith community have in civic life? Can the faith community provide a good model for achieving constructive engagement across differences? \nAs part of The Season For Nonviolence\, HARC is offering this program — which is based on the “Better Arguments Project” framework — to encourage participants to think about the influence of faith and spirituality as they seek to engage in constructive discourse with those of differing views. It will also provide tools to decrease both verbal and physical violence and promote peace. \nConflict is a natural part of the human experience. HARC’s goal is to practice this framework with faith leaders so you can take the resource back to your congregations and community groups. For more information on the Better Arguments Project\, visit www.betterarguments.org. \nThank you to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church for hosting and providing the meal.  Join us for lunch and fellowship\, sharing of our host’s faith tradition\, followed by the program.
