SUMMARY:HARC Meeting:  Rising To Learn
DESCRIPTION:We believe in nurturing the unlimited potential of every child (HARC belief statement).  In October\, HARC welcomes Dottie Gruler\, Chairperson for Rising To Learn\, to share about this new organization dedicated to ensuring children in Washington County Public Schools have the access and opportunity to reach that unlimited potential in their education. \nRising To Learn’s vision and mission: \nWe envision a future where every student in Washington County Public Schools has access to the educational services they need through a unified\, inclusive\, and well-supported countywide school district. \nOur mission is to serve as a transparent and accessible communication hub\, offering detailed information through our website\, newsletters\, and ongoing dialogue. Our initiative offers concise reports about school board meetings\, explanations of board processes and actions\, and links to resources\, while also maintaining open channels for feedback. \nOur goal is to raise community awareness and understanding of the work of the Washington County Board of Education and Washington County Public Schools\, while encouraging community participation in shaping the future of the schools. \nJoin us for lunch and fellowship along with the presentation. Thank you to Grace United Methodist Church for hosting and providing food (a free will offering basket will be out for donations toward the meal). RSVP requested by Friday\, October 10 at noon so we can get a count for lunch and other activities. \nParking and access: \nParking is available in the lot directly across the street from the church\, and there is also street parking. Enter through the door directly across from the parking lot. \n \n————————————————————————– \nHARC meetings are typically held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for lunch\, except July and August\, with an occasional evening meeting.  The location typically rotates among different houses of faith\, giving different congregations and organizations an opportunity to host.
